A Mitry-Mory, le PCF oscille entre nostalgie et modernité
MITRY-MORY (AFP) - Près de 400 militants communistes de Mitry-Mory ont célébré dimanche les 80 ans de gestion de la commune par le Parti communiste français en présence de Marie-Georges Buffet, secrétaire nationale.Dans la salle du gymnase où se tenait le banquet républicain, pas de traces du passé, pas de portrait du premier maire communiste élu en 1925, Marcel Chèvremont. En revanche, les affiches encourageant à voter "non" lors du référendum sur le traité constitutionnel européen tapissent les murs. Des autocollants sur le même thème ornent les bouteilles de vin sur les tables.
Entre éclats de rires et verres de kir, les souvenirs de luttes et manifestations occupent une bonne partie des conversations de l'assistance majoritairement composée de personnes âgées.
Henri-Jules Harduin, 85 ans, est toujours encarté. Il affirme "n'avoir jamais loupé une année depuis 1945". Maurice Desender, en désaccord avec le PCF, n'a plus sa carte mais avoue avec fierté avoir été "l'un des premiers enfants à avoir été baptisé au civil par Marcel Chèvremont en 1938".
Parmi les rares jeunes de la salle, Christophe Javelle, 28 ans évoque son désir "d'un PCF fort au niveau national. Car essayer d'améliorer les choses au niveau local ne mène pas à grand chose si on n'a pas de prise sur la politique nationale".
Marie-Georges Buffet a elle aussi évoqué l'avenir du parti dans son discours : "quand on regarde l'état du monde, loin d'être nostalgiques, les communistes sont les modernes de l'histoire".
"Nous sommes en train de retrouver une seconde jeunesse et la gauche a besoin d'un PCF qui reprend de la vitalité", a-t-elle déclaré à l'AFP.
Oui, n'en déplaise à tous ses fossoyeurs d'extrême-droite et de la fausse gauche, le Parti n'est pas mort! Aujourd'hui plus que jamais, le projet communiste reste d'actualité et le rôle des progressistes, déterminant. Face à la mondialisation sauvage et à l'ultralibéralisme sans foi ni loi qu'elle répand, les communistes doivent relever la tête et s'engager dans la lutte pour un monde meilleur. Non, nous n'avons pas à avoir honte de ce que nous sommes et avons été! Non, nous ne devons pas nous accomoder de la réalité, ni transiger avec nos principes! Les habitants de Mitry-Mory, fidèles depuis près d'un siècle à la cause du progrès social, ne comprendraient pas que le Parti perde son identité. Alors que la gauche dite modérée s'enferre dans des concessions toujours plus honteuses à l'extrême-droite néolibérale, les communistes restent les représentants ultimes des idées qui ont fait, font et feront toujours l'essence du socialisme.
